name // Eleanor Amelie de Cheniou
age // 18
sexual orientation // straight
talent // The moment Ellie heard her first song, Blackbird by the Beatles, she fell in love. Despite the fact she was only a baby her parents saw the way he eyes lit up, the way she bounced in time with the music, the way it made her grin. From that moment on music became her life. When she was five she started learning how to play piano, being drawn to it like a moth to flame; when she was six classical guitar came next; when she was seven violin was the new black. Music runs through Ellie’s veins thicker than water ever will. The best bit is that she’s good at it… Like really good. Good enough to land a spot in a place like this without any trouble. Good enough to make something of it with her life; passionate enough to want to.
bio/case study // Ellie has never had to struggle for anything in her entire life; she’s the kind of person that things just come to. Her talent, money, looks… She’s never had to try for any of it, she’s never had to imagine a life without it. Her parents both came from very wealthy families of ancient standings, both very prestigious in society. When Ellie wasn’t fixated with an instrument she’d be shoved against philanthropists and entrepreneurs, people the family is desperate to get in good graces with. Although Ellie isn’t completely certain what it is her parents do she knows that it includes lots of money and elite parties. Ellie’s life has always been set up like a puzzle, perfect and she never expected anything to change. But nothing is perfect, not for long at least. Two years ago, on Ellie’s sixteenth birthday, on his way driving to her house, her brother Markus was in an accident, one that cost him his life. The delicate family fell apart after that, daddy started seeing someone on the side, mummy got a little bit addicted to anti-depressants. Desperate for some form of control, and ability to maintain her life, Ellie triggered an eating disorder. Now anorexia rips into her. Pulling her apart. Ellie hardly notices though; so long as she has something she can hold on to, it doesn’t really matter to her.
faceclaim // Kayla Hadlington
anything else? // Ellie hasn’t had over six hours of solid sleep since her brother died.
name // Alannah ‘Switch’ Maryse Smith
age // 16
sexual orientation // pansexual
talent // Switch succeeds: it’s what she does. It doesn’t matter if it’s academic, athletic, musical, social… Switch will succeed. But her true talent, the thing that makes people really notice her for is her acting. There’s a reason she’s called ‘Switch’, her ability to change personalities without a second’s thought being it. If a play exists you can almost be certain she knows the manuscript off by heart; if a movie is any good she’ll know the nitty gritty details, the behind the scenes goss. Switch can make a murderer cry with a performance, or rise anger in even the gentlest of people. Sure she can sing and dance, it comes with the job description, but when it comes to true acting… Now that’s special.
bio/case study // Switch never knew her dad. Hell, she’s pretty certain her own mother doesn’t know who her dad is. Switch came from downtown, from a shady neighbourhood where people stay out of your business and you stay out of theirs. She was practically raised by the tv and was familiar with the feeling of going hungry well by the age of six. Every night her mother had a new guy over. In the early years she promised her daughter that this guy would be ‘the one’, the one that would save them from their Hell, who would pave their way to riches. Guys came and went, though they rarely stayed. When they did they’d treat her even worse than her mother would, often beating her around or taking advantage of her. A scholarship to Ravenwood was Switch’s golden ticket, she got out of there faster than her mother could say ‘if you step out that door I never want you back’. Honestly, Switch is glad. Sure she only just turned sixteen, sure she doesn’t have a job, sure she’s probably going to starve to death the moment she leaves Ravenwood… But no matter what happens it’s better than staying in that hole.
faceclaim // Gressa/Cockblocalypse
anything else? // Switch is the perfect person to be a distant friend or a casual hookup, but the moment it seems to her that things might get serious at all she bails, detesting the thought of depending on anyone, even just a little bit.

name // Jesse ‘Shredder’ Liam Patrickson
age // 19
sexual orientation // gay
talent // As a child everyone joked that Shredder had magic fingers. That might seem amusing, but if you’ve seen his work you’d have to agree. What Picasso would describe as a masterpiece Shredder would define as a simplistic sketch, something he just doodled up. If you think his drawings are good, you should see his true art. Shredder’s style is a little bit abstract and a whole lot poetic. He splashes with loud colours and often shreds through canvases with switchblades, the reason for his nickname. Shredder’s art is loud as it is passionate, even his smallest pieces saying a thousand words.
bio/case study // Shredder has bipolar mood disorder, possibly the biggest reason for his vibrant works. His parents though refused to believe that there was something wrong with him for the majority of his life. Even with a doctor telling them that there was something wrong with their son, that he had a disorder, they ignored him blaming Shredder’s behaviour on hormones and artistic juices. Shredder’s parents were always drunks, from before her was born to the day he left for Ravenwood. They probably still were. They beat him around when he lived at home, but that’s normal, right? Shredder knows that his past isn’t the greatest but he also knows that the majority of the world has or had things worse than him. Pretty much he’s just a normal kid trying to handle everything bottled inside him.
faceclaim // Kyle Jammeson
anything else? // Shredder drinks and does drugs, something he sees as nothing more than a way to get the creative juices flowing and to let go a little bit. He also hasn’t had a real relationship. Like, ever.
name // Zaide Rainen McPherson
age // 17
sexual orientation // bisexual
talent // Zaide is very much a writer. Ever since a young age Zaide has had an interest in fairy tales, in a world that isn’t his own. He’s had dreams of getting away, of letting go of all of the bad. Writing lets him do that, lets him create a new world, a new life. Zaide writes fantasy; dragons that breathe fire, shining knights in armour with their noble steeds, damsels in distress, locked away in towers their entire lives. Sure he can do so much more, but for now, Zaide just likes feeling like a kid.
bio/case study // Zaide never knew his mother; she died in child birth while having him. His father, a man with a troubled past, fell apart. Zaide’s mother was the only good thing that ever happened to him, the only thing keeping him alive most days. With her gone Zaide’s father had nothing left. It started with drinking, something that seemed harmless enough. There was only a little bit, and Zaide was too young to really know what was wrong with alcohol. Things got worse though, quickly. One moment Zaide was just a kid with a slightly detached father, the next his father’s fist was slamming into his face while he screamed at Zaide for killing his mother. Maybe that’s why Zaide writes, because it distracts him.. Distractions are welcome when the only alternative is to face the reality that your only family hates you. Although Zaide was in denial until the day he left, that didn’t stop him from sprinting at his first opportunity.
faceclaim // Max Davis
anything else? // Zaide often makes up stories when people ask about his family, favouring to create his own truth than believe the real one.
